The results of the 2nd ECSB Case Studies Competition were announced at the RENT XX Conference in Brussels. The competition was open exclusively to members of ECSB and ICSB, and it was sponsored by the Research Strategy Unit (Faculty of Business) at the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT).

The winners were announced at final plenary session of the RENT XX Conference. The winners of the competition were as follows:

• 1st prize: €2,500: Kent Thoren, KTH Royal Institute for Technology, Sweden
• 2nd prize: €1,500:Christian Serarols and Jose Maria Veciana, Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Spain
• 3rd prize: €500: Thierry Volery and Martina Jakl, University of St Gallen, Switzerland

In addition to the prize fund, the best cases will be selected for a book entitled "European Cases in Entrepreneurship", which will be edited by Thomas M. Cooney and will be published in September 2007 in conjunction with the European Foundation for Management Development.
