The role of the Country Vice Preseident is critical to the development of the organisation since they enable local initiatives to be undertaken, thereby encouraging greater participation in the activities of ECSB. The Country VPs are also able to identify local personnel and organisations that would benefit from ECSB's activities, while additionally informing the Board of the current needs of its membership.

- To maintain dialogue with the ECSB Board about how the organisation can best meet the needs of its national members;
- To promote the activities and interests of ECSB at a national level by arranging national events, such as policy workshops, and working in partnership with the ECSB Board;
- Within the context of the mission of ECSB, to canvass the views of national ECSB members about how ECSB can meet their needs;
- To represent the views of national members of ECSB to the ECSB Board;
- To take steps to increase the membership of ECSB at a national level and to liaising with national organisations;
- To submit a brief annual report of their activities to the Board, one month before the annual business meeting at the RENT conference. Feedback will be given by the Board, within 30 days of the Board meeting where the reports are discussed.

Country VP meetings are held regularly.
