The European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ECSB) is a non-profit organization whose main objective is to advance the understanding of entrepreneurship and to improve the competitiveness of SMEs in Europe. The ECSB is an affiliation to the ICSB (International Council for Small Business).

The forthcoming ICSB 2009 World Conference will be held from June 21-24 in the business hub of Seoul, Korea. Hosted by ICSB-Korea and the Korean Small Business Institute (KOSBI), the 2009 World Conference will not be your typical Conference. Under the theme of ‘The Dynamism of Small Business: Theory, Practice, Policy’, the conference will aim to provide an arena for active learning and discussion, bringing together distinguished scholars, consultants, professionals, corporate and business leaders, and leading government officials from around the world to develop multidisciplinary strategies related to small business and entrepreneurship.

RENT XXIII Conference will take place in Budapest, Hungary, on November 19-20, 2009. The conference will be hosted by Corvinus University, Budapest, Hungary and co-organised by ECSB and EIASM. The main theme for the conference is “Entrepreneurial Growth of the Firm”.

ECSB Members area includes several features which are only available for the members of ECSB. For example you can you use ECSB Database to search researchers wordwide, edit your profile and personal data. Also included are News and Newsletters for members and discussion forums to exchange your ideas.
ECSB announces the activation of a new wiki dedicated to entrepreneurship and small business scholars and practitioners. This is a first step to exploit the potential of internet enabled collaboration to foster interaction among ECSB members and build the world richest on-line community on entrepreneurship and small business studies.
